Aina Club
The Garden Club is affiliated with and supported by the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting environmental education in Hawaii’s schools and communities. Mililani Uka Garden Club's focus is on proper garden bed care (tilling, weeding, planting, watering, etc.) and supporting other grade levels with their Aina curriculum.

Robotics 101
Basic Build
Robotics 102
Clawbot Build
Students will gain a foundational understanding of robotics principles and engineering concepts through hands-on experience with VEX Robotics materials. They will develop skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity as they design, build, and program robots to complete various challenges. By the end of the course, students will have a solid grasp of basic robotics concepts and be prepared to explore more advanced robotics concepts.

Digital Art
Learn the basics of digital art and animation. Meeting once a week, students will start by learning to draw with Adobe Fresco on iPads, gaining hands-on experience with digital tools like layers, brushes, and color palettes. Students will build skills in stylus control, refining line thickness, shading, and precision drawing. Perfect for young artists interested in combining technology and creativity!
Choir
Students in Choir have the opportunity to develop their singing skills while performing at a variety of school and community events throughout the year. Performances may include Fall Fest, the Winter Concert, Santa Grams, STEAM Night, the Character Counts Fair, the Mililani Complex Choral Festival, and the Spring Concert.
Open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.
Choir tryouts will be held on August 4, 6, 11, 13, and 18. Students who are selected will officially begin Choir on Tuesday, August 25.
Japanese Club
Students learn to speak, write, and read Japanese while engaging in hands-on cultural activities that foster appreciation for Japan's rich heritage. November 2026 will be our inaugural Japan School Exchange, where 11 club members will be traveling to Osaka, Nara, and Fukuoka for a deeper cultural experience including visits to schools, shrines, temples, museums, and more!
Currently grades 4 and 5.
Club meets every other Thursday, 2:15-3:30pm
Club entry is by application and teacher recommendation. Members must maintain their grades and follow all Character Counts Pillars.
*The next round of applications will be for grades 3 & 4 in Fall 2027. This cohort will run from Oct. 2027 to Dec. 2028.
Description: Students build endurance, speed, and sportsmanship while running a one-mile course around campus and competing in friendly races. Focus is on personal improvement and encouraging peers.

We build cool projects, solve fun challenges, and explore the world of science, technology, engineering, and
math.
Hawaiian Studies Club
The Hawaiian Studies Club explores Native Hawaiian culture through stories, art, books, and songs. It focuses on learning traditional practices, values, and history, fostering a deeper appreciation for Hawaiian heritage. This year the Hawaiian club gave back to the community with a food drive during the Holidays. We were able to collect 475 pounds of food. The club was fortunate to have student councils support.
Board Game Buddies
By participating in the Board Game Buddies Club, students will be exposed to a variety of games from different genres (e.g. card games, board games, table top games, RPG’s) that require them to use different skills such as critical thinking, reasoning, self control, perseverance, resilience, turn taking, emotional regulation, team work, conversation, sportsmanship, focus, memory, trust, and empathy.
This club is available to first and second grade students during quarter 2, and for grades three through five during quarter 3. BGB meets on Tuesday afternoons and families can look for a paper application at the beginning of each respective quarter.
Sphero Coding Club
The Sphero Coding Club is open to 4th and 5th graders who have Sphero coding experience through their participation in the 4th grade Computer Science Learning Academy. We code using the Sphero Bolt+ which is a spherical robot that students can program to complete a variety of STEM challenges. The purpose of the Sphero Coding Club is to take the coding skills students learned from the academy to the next level by engaging in coding and engineering challenges for the opportunity to earn a spot on our school's team that will compete in the Sphero Global Challenge sponsored by Stem It Up Sports.

Sea Perch
SeaPerch is an exciting program where students learn about engineering and science by building and testing underwater vehicles. You'll work in teams to design, build, and race your own ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle). This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, solve problems, and have fun!

Drama Club
The Mililani Uka Drama Club allows students to come together to explore acting, storytelling, and theater arts. The club typically engages in a variety of activities such as practicing lines, learning about stage direction, character development, choreography, and performing in a yearly full-scale musical. Students also learn how to interact with simple costumes, set designs, assistant stage management, and props. Some previous Mililani Uka musicals include Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition and Disney's The Lion King, Jr. The Mililani Uka Drama Club provides a fun, supportive environment for children to build confidence, improve their public speaking, and develop teamwork skills. Throughout the show process, they prepare the musical for family and friends, showcasing their creativity and hard work. Our foundational principle is “We are an Ensemble.”

Volleyball
Description: Players learn volleyball fundamentals including serving, passing, setting, and teamwork. Students practice in preparation for friendly matches against other elementary schools.

Students develop basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive strategies. Teamwork and sportsmanship are emphasized through practice and interschool games.

Climbing Club
Students learn proper climbing techniques, safety procedures, and teamwork while tackling different climbing wall challenges. Emphasis on building strength, confidence, and problem-solving skills.

Amigos Unidos
